First Day of School 2008!

Here we are on the first day of school! School started September 2, 2008. We got everyone dressed and ready, got their water bottles filled, backpacks packed and we headed out the door. All morning Jessi kept telling me she was soooo nervous! There is never any need to guess what is going on in Jessi's head! Neither of the girls wanted to ride the bus so we waited for the bus and then followed it to school. We dropped Jessi off first since she had been saying she was so nervous!! Her desk had been moved since meet the teacher day, but she quickly found her new spot and settled in! No tears, no problems, she just looked excited! Then it was Savannah's turn! Her classroom is in a whole different part of the school then she has been in before. We finally found her classroom and her desk had been moved as well! So, we found her desk, but it was full of someone else's school supplies. That was the straw that broke the camel's back and Savannah burst in to tears! We got everything sorted out, got Nan's school supplies into her desk and got her all settled, but I learned an interesting lesson, Jessi lets it all out and then deals well with it. Savannah on the other hand, I assumed was fine because she didn't say she was nervous or worried or anything, but she kept it all in and then fell apart! Everyday is such a fun learning experience! I love when I am reminded of the little differences that make each of our children individuals and I learn how to better help them cope and relate! Savannah and Jessi are both enjoying school immensely! It will be a great year!

Brantly's Wedding!

Here's "the fam" at Brantly's wedding! We are standing outside the club house at Somerby Golf Course where she got married!
Here are the four beautiful flower girls! Its hilarious to see this picture because it was very descriptive of the day. The two pouters on the left, were pouters all afternoon, and the two on the right...well, they acted like supermodels and princesses all day long!
This is Jabbar's family! I didn't get any pictures of my family on my camera so I will have to hunt around for those. But Jabbar has one sister. She has a husband and two kids! Aren't they cute! Plus you had to see pictures of the bride! She looked beautiful...just like Snow White (or so the girls thought!) Here are the two ring bearers and Zach! Lex and Rami were the two ring bearers. Brantly and Jabbar got all the little boys cars to play with and that kep their attention for the whole time leading up to the wedding!

FINALLY!!!

Yesterday I was at work when Jessi paged me. I called her back. She got on the phone and started out. "Mom, you'll never guess what happened! Zach and I were playing and he hit me in the mouth with his knee!" I started thinking...seriously, you called me to tattle?? But then she continued: "And then the most AMAZING thing happened!!! MY TOOTH FELL OUT!!! So, I picked it up and took it to Daddy and he accidentally dropped it under the couch and now we can't find it 'cuz Daddy can't look under the couch, so when you get home can you get my tooth and put it under my pillow?" Needless to say...I was soo glad that tooth has FINALLY come out! It has been wiggly for MONTHS! ...So, this morning Jessi was running around wiggling her other front tooth and I noticed that it was no longer actually connected to her gums in the front and you could see her new tooth underneath it when she wiggled it! So, Brennon talked her into letting him pull it out! One little tug and out it came! So, now we have a toothless wonder...just in time for wedding pictures!!! Hahaha!

Mama, there's a watermelon in the garden!

It's that time of year that the garden is ALMOST ready to be harvested! Zachary came in yesterday while my visiting teachers were over and told me excitedly,
"Mama, there's a watermelon in the garden!! Come see!"
"That's exciting, I'll come see in a few minutes!" I replied.
A few minutes later, he came upstairs again, and said "Mama! There's a watermelon in the garden! Come see!".
"Just a minute buddy and I will come!" I replied.
A few minutes later, Zachary came upstairs again. "Mama, look at this watermelon from the garden!" he said as he proudly held up a small 2 inch watermelon!
"Oh, darn it buddy!" I said "You weren't supposed to pick it yet...it's too little, it needed to grow still!!"
Zachary held up his other hand. He was holding the white plastic marker with the picture of the watermelons on it that had been placed in front of the watermelon plant "But mama, it looks just like the picture!"
Which was true, the watermelon in the 1 inch by 1 inch picture on the plant marker looked about as big as the one Zachary had picked!

Aunt Laurie the kid magnet!!

Aunt Laurie helped the girls make jewelry! They loved it! She was like a constant kid magnet! Everywhere she went she had a little girl or two attached to her side! She was very kind and patient about it! Even Zach is sitting there watching her make jewelry!

Family Fun in Minnesota!!

We got to go to the Mall of America today! We are lucky enough to have our Grandma, Grandpa, two cousins, Uncle Tyrel and Aunt Laurie visiting! Tyrel and Laurie wanted to go shopping...the kids decided to go on the rides...! Here's everyone on the rocks at Nickelodeon Park. Notice Brennon in the wheelchair to the left! He's getting better but the mall was too much walking for him!
Savannah and Zach rode on Blue's Skidoo! They had fun! That is Chelsea behind them!
I think the highlight of the trip for Z-man was the trucks...Beep, beep, beep!
Abbey and Jessi got to ride the trucks too!
We stopped at Legoland where the kids made cars and raced them down the track. Here are Abbey and Jessi building their creations!

Memory Tag

I'm stealing this from Kristin's blog...here's what she said...

I've seen this on a couple of friends blog, and thought I would give it a try here, to help with my missing everyone. Just follow the instructions, I can't wait to read them all and share mine with you.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Sounds fun right...lets try it!
