Happy Birthday Jessi!!!

This day has been anxiously awaited at our house for months....Jessi always feels a little anxious about her birthday when almost everyone else has a birthday the last week of October and first week of November and her birthday doesn't arrive. So from then on, it is a constant countdown...because she knows it HAS to come SOMETIME!!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Jessi! She is 4 years old and we went to Wisconsin Dells...she had a blast and this was her favorite perch!
She always has a smile on her face and a look of excitement in her eyes. You never have to guess what Jessi is thinking...she is always more than happy to tell you...sometimes to the embarrassment of her mother!! She is a jokester, has a lot of spunk, and is fun to be around! She is creative and loves to play with her two best friends Savannah and Zach. She loves to play dinosaurs, walk the runway, and put on "shows". We are so glad that she is a part of our lives!

Jessi opened her presents before she even got dressed this morning...she just couldn't wait!! Zach was soo excited about her opening her presents that he kept telling her what they were before she actually got them open...good thing he is still a little hard to understand...and she was too excited to stop and figure out the translation.

She's wanted an eagle or a unicorn stuffed animal since Christmas (random combination I know...not sure why...) so here is her eagle!!
Many Happy Returns Jessi! We love you! Happy 7th Birthday!

Random Pictures

We thought that we would put together some random pictures from the last month! So, enjoy!
This is Nathan in his dragon towel after a bath...Jessi loves this towel!
The newest male addition to the family is required to be a red sox fan, of course...so we are starting him out young!

We sure were glad that our Grandma and Grandpa Olsen got to come and visit us. Check out Jessi's face...does this not embody her personality???

We were trying to capture Nathan's look of displeasure...we think he was saying..."Save me!" But Zach DOES LOVE to hold his brother...often...and he is very careful and does a pretty good job!

Big Events!

Candy Trains are a Christmas tradition at our house so on Friday night, we all got together at Grandma Mackey's and made our annual candy trains! We had a lot of fun and laughter! This train is Savannah's masterpiece. All the kids made their own (even Brennon!)! It was a good time!
Of course the highlight of this Christmas season is having Grandma and Grandpa Olsen at our house! I don't think they are enjoying our Minnesota weather much, but we are LOVING having them here! We are sooo lucky to have such wonderful family!

Cheese!! Jessi took this picture...and I thought she did a great job! We are glad to have our Grandma here to snuggle with!

Savannah got baptized on Saturday! It snowed ALL day, we weren't sure anyone would make it to the baptism, but we had a great turn out, the program was special, and Savannah was sooo happy! It was a great day! Savannah said "This is my best day ever!"

Nathan got blessed on Sunday! Once again, we weren't sure if we'd have church or not...it was very cold and 2 out of the 4 wards were cancelled (wimps!)! But lucky for us, we had church and we were able to bless Nathan Owen Olsen! Brennon definitely threatened right before the blessing to change his name to Nathan Dueteronomy Danger Owen Olsen, but luckily (for him!) he resisted the temptation! Nathan definitely had a bad hair day going on! We put a hat on him to keep his head warm and then when we took it off, his hair stood straight up! Oh well! He still looked handsome!
And...Torrey graduated from Nursing School! Yeah! It has been a busy but fun week!

Nathan under the lights!

Nathan was readmitted to the hospital on Monday for light therapy to reduce his bilirubin levels.
He was very patient with the whole set-up!

A few more pictures of Nathan!
