Counting down the days....

Well, it's semi-"official". We will be having a baby on Thursday, Oct. 23! We will be soo glad to get our baby safely here!! The last few weeks have been full of "scary" doctor's appointments, non-stress tests, bio-physical profiles of the baby, and doctor's warning us of "sudden demise of the infant in utero". Not exactly what you want to hear every time you head to the doctor. But, I think we will make it! I go in for an amnio on Wednesday and as long as his lungs are OK, we will be induced on Thursday. I will not miss checking blood sugars 4x a day, twice weekly doctors appointments, not being able to bend over and pick up things, sore hips and back when sleeping, feet that don't fit in shoes in anymore, and feeling grumpy all the time. But I will miss those little movements that assure me everything is alright or the excitement in our house about expecting a new baby! We have some excited kids who can't wait to meet their new baby brother! We are happy to have a new addition to our house! We can't wait to meet you and give you kisses! Hurry up Nathan!

First Day of School 2008!

Here we are on the first day of school! School started September 2, 2008. We got everyone dressed and ready, got their water bottles filled, backpacks packed and we headed out the door. All morning Jessi kept telling me she was soooo nervous! There is never any need to guess what is going on in Jessi's head! Neither of the girls wanted to ride the bus so we waited for the bus and then followed it to school. We dropped Jessi off first since she had been saying she was so nervous!! Her desk had been moved since meet the teacher day, but she quickly found her new spot and settled in! No tears, no problems, she just looked excited! Then it was Savannah's turn! Her classroom is in a whole different part of the school then she has been in before. We finally found her classroom and her desk had been moved as well! So, we found her desk, but it was full of someone else's school supplies. That was the straw that broke the camel's back and Savannah burst in to tears! We got everything sorted out, got Nan's school supplies into her desk and got her all settled, but I learned an interesting lesson, Jessi lets it all out and then deals well with it. Savannah on the other hand, I assumed was fine because she didn't say she was nervous or worried or anything, but she kept it all in and then fell apart! Everyday is such a fun learning experience! I love when I am reminded of the little differences that make each of our children individuals and I learn how to better help them cope and relate! Savannah and Jessi are both enjoying school immensely! It will be a great year!

Brantly's Wedding!

Here's "the fam" at Brantly's wedding! We are standing outside the club house at Somerby Golf Course where she got married!
Here are the four beautiful flower girls! Its hilarious to see this picture because it was very descriptive of the day. The two pouters on the left, were pouters all afternoon, and the two on the right...well, they acted like supermodels and princesses all day long!
This is Jabbar's family! I didn't get any pictures of my family on my camera so I will have to hunt around for those. But Jabbar has one sister. She has a husband and two kids! Aren't they cute! Plus you had to see pictures of the bride! She looked beautiful...just like Snow White (or so the girls thought!) Here are the two ring bearers and Zach! Lex and Rami were the two ring bearers. Brantly and Jabbar got all the little boys cars to play with and that kep their attention for the whole time leading up to the wedding!
